Rootaxe is not out yet. This page is ready for when it is.
Ask us
The quickest way is from inside the app. On the iPhone, choose Report a bug on Home. On the Mac, open Rootaxe from the menu bar, open the menu at the bottom of its panel and choose Report a bug. You can see what will be sent, and nothing goes until you press Send. Or write to superrshary@gmail.com, or ask in the Discord.
What you need
- A Mac on macOS 15 or later. Knock and lid features are built for the sensors in an Apple silicon MacBook.
- iPhone on iOS 17 or later.
- Apple Watch on watchOS 26 or later.
- AirPods with head tracking for head gestures: AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or AirPods (3rd generation) or later.
Common fixes
My iPhone can't see my Mac
Your iPhone and Mac must be on the same Wi-Fi, and Rootaxe must be open on the Mac. If that's all true, allow Local Network for Rootaxe in iPhone Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Local Network.
The camera won't open for pairing
If the camera is off for Rootaxe, the app gives you a box to type the code from your Mac instead.
A knock or gesture does nothing
Every feature has its own switch. Check that it is on, and that the rule you want is on. Your Mac may not have the sensor that feature needs.
